For Hudson Valley P-TECH students, a ribbon-cutting on October 28 at New York’s first solar field on the Town of Clarkstown capped landfill was an up close and personal lesson in history, science and community relations.
Natasha Shea, Principal of Hudson Valley P-Tech said, “The students cannot stop talking about meeting all the business partners and politicians present. I was overwhelmed when I saw our students have the confidence to walk up to business heads and government officials (knowing who they were!), extend their hands and introduce themselves. It was impressive to see, and I had so much feedback on how professional and poised our students are.”
